Hello! Nice to meet you. My name is Lawrie and I'm from Dundee, Scotland(U.K.).
Shortly after graduating in Physics, at university, I decided to come to Japan.
I spent my first two years in Kitakyushu before deciding to move to Sapporo in 2006.
The main reason for my move was the summers down south. Sapporo has a very similar climate to my country so I enjoy it very much.
I enjoy playing many kinds of different sports, with my favourites being football(soccer) and golf.
There are many things that have kept me in Japan, including the people and the food.
I look forward to seeing you soon.

Resolutions
2010年1月4日 (月)
Happy New Year. I hope you had a great holiday and enjoyed your time off work.
The time of year has come around again and it's now time to make your New Year's resolution.
What is it going to be this year? Are you going to give up smoking? Go on a diet? Study more? These are all the usual ones but some people have very different ideas.
Although, I know its best to have only one resolution if you wish to succeed, I have decided to choose two this year. My first is to eat healthier and my second is to join football team in Sapporo. If i can managed the second one, then the first will surely follow.
Good luck with yours.
Not so summer hike
2009年8月17日 (月)
Obon has come and gone. I hope everyone had a good holiday, whatever you got up to. Jon and I had planned to do a 5 day hike of the Daisetsuzan National Park. Everything started well and we made it from Asahidake to the Kurodake camp area in good time and enjoyed some amazing scenery along the way. As we started to pitch our tent the rain started to come. We were advised by the staff at the hut not to continue our hike. This was because the forecast for the next two days was very heavy rain. After the recent tragedy in Daisetsuzan, Jon and myself decide to call it a day on Day 2. Lets hope next year will be better weather and we can complete our challenge.
