A Matter of Life and Death
2017年6月12日 (月)
This movie is a real classic. A romantic comedy released in 1946, it tells the story of a British pilot who falls from a bomber returning from a mission during World War 2. He cheats death because the angels make a mistake and allow him to live. He then falls in love and the angels have a problem, do they take him to heaven and break the romance, or let him live on earth. Staring David Niven and Kim hunter it is one of those rare films that stands the test of time. Although it harks back to a very different period of British life the story is still fresh and captivating.
I found this film on the top 100 films list according to Timeout Magazine and I have to agree it is well worth spending the time to watch.
