A Refreshing Drink
Recently it has been so hot every day – I want to drink something cold and refreshing before going to bed. However, I don’t want to drink sugary sodas, because they are full of empty calories. I don’t want to drink beer because it also has calories, and too much alcohol can make me feel sleepy in the morning. Coffee or tea might keep me awake, milk is not refreshing, and I got tired of mugicha.
Then, I had a great idea. My wife buys powdered vitamin C to use as a supplement. I tried mixing some with about 200 ml of soda water and drinking it with ice. The result was a very refreshing drink with no calories, no caffeine, and no alcohol. It is healthy and delicious, and very cheap to make. I might stop drinking it when autumn comes, but for now, I think I’ll be drinking vitamin c water every night before bed. I wonder what kind of drinks or foods you like to have to help stay cool during the summer.
