Where do I start with this film? It was a biopic of Queen the band, and centered around the story of their flamboyant lead singer Freddie Mercury. It was fantastic, with sing along parts, great acting, and the Live Aid concert at the end was worth the admission price alone. However, the story was a little contrived and didn’t follow Queens` story that faithfully. There were parts where the timeline was reordered for emotional impact and Freddie’s personal life was heavily sanitized. However, I didn’t find this detracted from the film and as a piece of high energy escapism, with a great soundtrack and excellent acting I would highly recommend this movie. Go see it and blow away those winter blues
