How to eat healthily

2017年7月23日 (日)

Hey everyone! I`m sure most of you know that recently I took part in the Reebok Spartan Race. This is kind of  stamina race with 22 obstacles. I was really happy with my result because I came 13th out of 1100 women.  For this race I increased my training and changed my diet so that I would have more energy. The only problem I have now is that I am bulkier than usual. In the fitness world we call it “cutting”. Cutting means to reduce your body weight and cut the fat. This week I have been thinking about the best way to decrease calorie intake or eat better. I think diet is the most difficult point of fitness because there are millions of blogs, books, and other resources out there. Don`t eat carbohydrates, only eat complex carbohydrates, don’t eat at night, don’t eat after training, don’t eat before training…… the advice is contradictory and never ending.  So I ask myself; How can I eat healthily? I am in the healthiest country in the world, perhaps I should follow a traditional Japanese diet of rice and rice? Or a gym paleo diet of only meat and vegetables? If anyone has some advice, please share it with me.
