Postcard delivery

Hello everyone! Today, I`d like to talk about postcards. Before Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and so on, there were simple, effective postcards. As I often say, I adore snail mail and the written word, so I always send postcards. One of my students thoughtfully gave me a stack of Sapporo Snow Festival postcards so I sent them all over the world. I sent some to Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, Wales, America, Ireland, France, Sweden, and Osaka. I sent all the postcards on the same day. Of course, as you have guessed, Osaka was the fastest, but what surprised me was the England was the second fastest. It took something like 5 days to get there. (My student sent herself a postcard from Bath to Japan and it took 3 months to arrive!! So, I feel amazed from Japan it was so quick). The slowest country was Canada. It took about 3 weeks. I wonder why there is such a difference. This was my thought of the day. The postal system is amazing!!
