Spring?
2010年2月24日 (水)
Hello everyone,
How are you? I’m doing well, especially because spring is in the air! The last couple of days in Sapporo have been wonderfully warm, and I feel like a bear coming out of hibernation:) I know what you’re thinking, it’s Sapporo, it’s only February, and there’s bound to be another snow storm or two before spring truly appears. But it’s a nice reminder of what’s to come. And next month is March! We have a saying in English:
“March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb.” Meaning, March starts out with harsh, unpleasant weather, but it ends mild and warm. Hopefully this is true in Sapporo as well, especially the latter part! I wonder if there are any similar sayings in Japanese?
Please enjoy the “spring” weather while it lasts!
Sincerely, Luella
