I love living in Sapporo.  Of course there are many reasons why I love Sapporo so much, but one of the biggest reasons is the convenience.  Sapporo is a fairly big city: number five in size in Japan.  And many tourists come here on holiday which leads to a healthy economy in the city.  So Sapporo is a very lively, thriving northern city.

Thinking about convenience, the subway system is definitely a contributing factor.  Apparently originally built for the Sapporo Winter Olympics, the subway system now serves a large part of the city and due to the snow levels in winter, it makes getting around a breeze!  Also, the subway system alleviates traffic congestion in the city center so there are fewer cars, fewer accidents and less pollution.

Sapporo should be proud of its fantastic public transportation network.  It helps make the city a convenient and pleasant place to live!
