Hey there everyone! Have you ever used an internet auction? I have used internet auction sites such as E-bay to buy stuff before but recently I decided to sell a few things too. Boy was it difficult! I had to get tonnes of help from Hisae, and even then it wasn’t easy. Finally someone offered me money outside of the auction which made decisions even more difficult. Be careful if you decide to start internet auctioning, it’s very addictive!!!!!!

Jinxed?

Hey everyone! This week has been a kind of bad week for me. I slipped for the first time on some black ice and then I lost my cell phone. I’m beginning to think I’m jinxed!! This weekend I had one of those days when everything goes wrong! Luckily this morning I got my phone back. I was completely lost without it! When did I become so reliant on my cell phone?! I don’t think I could live without it. Have you ever lost your cell phone? I sympathize with you!!!!

Winter Recipes

Because it’s been so cold lately, I’ve felt like eating hot and hearty foods like ramen or curry rice. I’ve also been thinking about the kind of dishes I would serve back home like beef stew, roast lamb or Shepard’s pie. There’s nothing better than coming home to a delicious hot meal that really warms you up from the inside. What are your favourite winter dishes?

Happy new year everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday and are now back in the work groove. I had an excellent time over Christmas and new year. We went to Gifu ken, Kanezawa and Nagano ken. In particular, Hida Takayama was amazing. There were so many old wooden buildings that used to house rich merchants and the like. There were also a lot of teashops and places selling mochi. If I could choose any place in Japan to live (apart from Sapporo) I would choose Takayama. Kanezawa was also nice, especially the famous gardens there. However, as always, it`s nice to be back in Hokkaido!

Crazy awesome snow

So last weekend I went to rusutsu and it was crazy awesome! I was almost crying coz the conditions were so good. I`ve never snowboarded in so much powder, i was grinning from ear to ear all day! However that was short lived coz when i got home, my puppy had decided to chew everything in his `house` and made a right mess. I spent the whole evening cleaning up after him, but its ok coz he`s adorable. I melt when he looks at me with his big brown eyes! If you snowboarded last weekend, I hope you had fun too.
