Moving
2008年4月12日 (土)
have you ever moved? It’s real pain in the neck! Almost everyday I throw away a huge garbage bag full fo stuff that I thought I would need. Old Star Wars pop bottle lids, ancient receipts to things that are long lost, phone numbers of people I don’t know anymore, and even socks with holes in them. I knew I was a collector, but I never realised how much of a pack rat that I was! Throw your stuff out now, in case you ever have to move. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.
The Road to Recovery
2008年4月10日 (木)
Hi everyone! I’m happy to say that after breaking my arm 3 weeks ago, I’m back at work and on the road to recovery. I have to go to rehabilitation 4 times a week – it’s a bit painful because the muscles in my shoulder don’t work so well at the moment. The doctor said that I can remove my sling in 2 weeks time! I’m looking forward to that as doing everyday thing is very difficult right now. Have you ever broken a bone? How long did it take to get better?
April Fool
2008年4月3日 (木)
Hey everyone, hope you are all good. This year I thought I would be safe in Japan from April fool’s Day jokes, but alas I was ‘got’…. again. Maybe I’m just gullible but I always fall for tricks on April fool. I wonder what jokes my friends played back home. Usually my dad hides somewhere in the house and waits until either me or mother walks past then jumps out and shouts “BOO!” at the top of his lungs. Every year he always gets one of us. (My brother always gets away scot-free) Did you get tricked? Its super fun, isn’t it? You’ve got to laugh at yourself!!!
Onsen heaven
2008年4月1日 (火)
Hey everyone, I hope you`re all well. I had an excellent weekend last weekend. We went to Noboribetsu to soak in some great onsen. I`ve liked hot springs since I arrived in Japan, but this was the first time I had been to Noboribestsu. Very exciting! The water there was fantastic, and I felt completely relaxed afterwards. I`ve also been playing squash recently, and it`s made me realise how unfit I am- I really need to exercise more! P.s A special thanks to Sam for helping me with my kanji study- a big help!
Chocolate fondue
2008年3月21日 (金)
hey everyone! this week I`ve been experimenting with chocolate fondue. After much debating and taste testing with my friends, we`ve decided that bananas are best for chocolate fondue, closely followed by strawberries. Recently Ive been entertaining alot at home, so Ive been trying to find easy dishes to cook. The easiest meal by far is mexican and the easiest desert is chocolate fondue. So if your hosting a dinner party i recommend mexican and chocolate fondue…. oh dear they dont seem to go well with each other ?!
