Well, Golden Week is over. I had a wicked Golden Week, however I never got around to trying horse riding – its a long story but basically I hurt my hand rafting so I couldnt grip. I went around North-East Hokkaido, it was alittle exhausting (so much to see) but i saw some beautiful sites, when I got back to sapporo it was hot and windy (I wish the wind would stop already! Bring on the sunshine!!!). Anyway, I hope everyone had a brillant Golden Week and I look forward to hearing about everyones adventures!

It`s almost Golden Week, I have a feeling that sapporo is going to be busy next week. I`ve been inspired by one of my sky diving students to try a new sport (maybe not sky diving though!!!). I was thinking about horse riding (like Allan). I`ve always fancied western style riding – without a saddle, I might even wear a cowboy hat!! Do you have any plans for golden week? Is anyone going to travel abroad? I hope everyone has fun whatever they do and fingers crossed for beautiful warm weather. See you after Golden Week. HAVE FUN!!!

On horse riding and Saturday Night Hay Fever

Hey guys, I hope you all are fit and healthy. Recently I`ve been hit with not only a cold but also Hay Fever, which is a kind of flower allergy. This is the first time I`ve suffered from it, so it`s quite surprising. Hopefully I`ll back to full fitness soon though! Do you have any plans for Golden Week? I`m going to Hidaka for a few days next week. It`s one of the few areas of Hokkaido I haven`t been to yet, so I`m looking forward to it. I`ll also try some horse-riding, which should be fun- or perhaps scary! Have a good Golden Week everyone!

Golden Week

Hi everyone! Are you enjoying the warm weather? I am. Last weekend, my friends and I had our first BBQ of the season at Nakayama Toge. Even though I couldn’t snowboard, it was nice to be out in the sun. I will probably spend most of Golden week packing up my apartment as I am leaving Sapporo in June. What are your plans? Are you going away or will you stay in Sapporo?

Hay Fever

ATCHOOOO! Yes spring has arrived and so has my hay fever!! I love flowers so it really bugs me that in spring and summer I can`t smell them because of my pollen allergy. On the way to work today I saw some cherry blossoms, aren`t they a little early? I thought they dont come to sapporo until golden week, maybe this year they are early. Heaps of people were taking photographs, they are sooooooo pretty. When I was kid i used to make daisy chains and wear them as necklaces…. in japan do you make cherry blossom chains?
