After looking in the mirror recently and finding my reflection to be a little “rotund,” I`ve decided to try to eat more healthily. Usually in the U.K people eat meat at least once a day, and often twice. In Japan however, many people eat a lot of fish, and not so much meat, and I have to say they look healthier than me! So, I`m going to try to eat more fish and less meat from now on. We`ll see how long this lasts! Have a good week everyone!
Dog training

So this week I spent the whole week teaching my dog `come`. Mid week I had a sore throat so I decided the best method was to whistle. Being a football fan I have a lethal whistle. I spent the week whistling at my dog and finally he got it. Yesterday I discovered that my boyfriend can’t whistle!!! so now my dog only comes to me…… back to the drawing board I think!!
Spring Madness!

Hey folks! Hope everybody is enjoying spring! Living next to Nakajima Park, it`s been wonderful watching the park transform from a snowy wasteland to a colorful tapestry of flowers and green grass! The weather has been a bit unpredictable and I`m anxious for consistently warm weather. Over Golden Week, I did a 30km hike from Bankei-Numa to Jozankei with my roommate. There was still a lot of snow in the mountains and at times it was difficult to find the trail. I`m looking forward to doing lots of hiking and biking around Hokkaido this summer, especially Asahi-dake! Let`s hope for good weather this weekend! See you later!
A windy and rainy week ahead...

Wow! What happened to the weather? Sapporo has been really windy and rainy recently and the bad weather is expected to continue… I don’t mind the rain but the wind really gets on my goat! I’ve been busy packing up my apartment and getting ready to leave Japan at the beginning of next month. There are many things I will miss but I’m excited about starting afresh in the UK.
Finally some nice weather!!!

I woke up today and expected it to be raining, I opened the curtains and it was a beautiful sunny day…. FINALLY! The past couple of days have been miserable. I really hope it stays clear for the weekend and sun finally puts its hat on and comes out to play! Fingers crossed for a hot sunny weekend. I`ll probably take Wasabi my dog to Toyohira river if the weather holds up. Have a great weekend everyone.
