Horses for 'Park Golf' Courses

Now that the weather is warmer, I’ve started playing park golf again. I think it’s a great way to spend a sunny afternoon with friends. I must admit that by the time we get to the 10th hole, it’s more about chatting than playing golf! Someone said to me that park golf is only for ‘old people’. I don’t believe it’s true. I think that if you enjoy a sport, it doesn’t matter how old you are. Different horses for different courses!! What do you think?

Have you ever been to Yoichi? I went this last sunday and it was not what I expected. I first went to the Nikka whiskey factory. It was like I woke up in North America. The old western buildings and lots of Aspen trees were very reminiscent of home. It was really beautiful. Then I went for a walk around the Fisherina Marina and the general area of yoichi. It was a relaxing sunday. What did you do?

Hi everyone! Did you all have a good weekend? I had a big spending weekend, so my wallet feels very light at the moment! Now that summer is on the way, I’ve bought a new bike. This will help me get around Sapporo and lose a little weight too! I also bought a new computer to help me keep in touch with my family and friends back home in England. I love buying new things! However, I now need to budget a little carefully for a while!
Happy or Sad?

I don’t know whether I’m happy or sad. I’m happy because summer is almost here and I’ll be able to go swimming and wear t-shirts. But I’m sad because I won’t be able to snowboard anymore. Some people say that May is the month when people become sick and feel a little sad after the excitment of April. How do ypu feel?
Lilac Festival

Hi everyone, This week is the Lilac Festival in Sapporo, one of my favorite times of the year. This festival always reminds of the very first time I visited Sapporo. I also enjoy seeing the multi-colored tullips; they are such a beautiful flower. Although I don’t have any special plans this week, I will enjoy walking around Sapporo and seeing all the wonderful Spring flowers.
