Back in Hokkaido!

Hey everyone, I hope you all had a great Golden Week! I had a terrific time. I took the ferry from Hokodate to Aomori, then went to Hirosaki city to see the cherry blossoms, which were beautiful. From there, I went to Towada-ko, which was also very pretty as the sun set on the water. Finally we drove to Osore＼san, which was a very scary mountain, but interesting! On the way back to Sapporo, we stopped at Hakodate to eat a Lucky Pierot hamburger. A perfect Golden Week!

…yep, slush is soft, fun and nice to aging bones. I’m talking about the snow at Nakayama Toge, where I spent most of my Golden Week. I went snowboarding five days and even camped for one night. It was a lot of fun but VERY cold from about 2.30am-6.30am. Luckily, I was able to warm up on the slopes as soon as the first lifts were open. How was your Golden Week? Did you go anywhere or stay away from the crowds?

That’s all she wrote. Golden week is over, and young boys the nation over are stronger thanks to Carp flying in the air. I had a great time. I went snowboarding with my best friends at Nakayama Toge and got amazing goggle tan. Then I went to Toky to visit Kamakura. Unfortunately it rained like the dickens, so I ended up back in Shinjuku at used cd stores wasting more of my money! It was all good fun though. How did you spend your golden week?

What happened to spring? Just when I thought the sun was here to stay, the Vancouver style winter has returned. A quick check of the internet has confirmed to me that the good weather will be back tomorrow, just in time for Golden Week. I’m going to snowboard at Nakayama Toge and Tokyo. How about you?

Wow, it`s really hot today. It already feels like summer here in Sapporo. Recently, I`ve been playing football with my friends by the river, and I`m looking forward to the new park golf season! what are your plans for golden week? I may be going to Aomori prefecture for a few days to see the chery blossoms and relax. Hopefully, I`ll also see Hakodate for the first time. I hope everyone has a great holiday!
