Hi everyone! The World Cup is now underway and everyone is very excited. I watched the Australia v Japan at a pub with 150 screaming Samurai fans and about 20 Australian supporters. The atmosphere was incredibly exciting – especially in those last 10 minutes!! Sorry Japan – better luck against Croatia :>

Well, it’s been a pretty good week. England won their first game of the World Cup, beating Paraguay 1-0. We didn’t play too well, but the win is all that matters! Hopefully England can go all the way this time! I’ll be cheering on Japan tonight when they play Australia too- good luck! Watching the games in Japan is really interesting, and I’m looking forward to Watching England play Japan in the cup final!
Furano

My mom is in Sapporo! My girlfirend, mother and I went to Furano on the weekend. Furano Ski Town is so lovely and quiet, I would love to live there some day. Its so near the ski area that I could wake up five mintes before opening time and not be late. We stayed in a lovely onsen hotel, went to Tokachidake and saw amazing Rape Blossoms in full bloom, glowing in the setting sun. Holidays are great. Next week, Shretoko!

It’s the beginning of a new month! Summer is here and summers fading. My mom has come to town so I am host yet again. We have lots of plans in the works, including Tokachi Dake onsen, watching the Yosakoi, and going to the Sapporo beer garden. It should be a fun month.

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a great Golden Week! My Golden Week was awesome. We went to Northern Honshu, and saw Matsushima (very good), Zao Mountain (excellent) and Hiraizumi (great!). In Sendai I ate cow tongue, which was very tasty! Since returning to Hokkaido, I`ve been enjoying the sunshine and the cherry blossoms in and around Sapporo. Japan really is a great place to live!
