Winter weather...

Brrr, it`s getting cold outside! After a long autumn, winter is now coming! Do you like winter? I like winter a lot, although I always slip on the icey pavements! However, my favourite season is definitely autumn, because the trees look really beautiful here in Hokkaido. This winter, I`m going to try snowboarding again, and hopefully I will get better this year!

YEAH!!!!!! Winter has finally begun. Yesterday, Onze ski area opened for the second time this year, their frist day being Saturday. I went to the smll strip of snow, which resembled a white mohawk on a green head, with Michaela and her husband Ben. Despite hard snow and skiers trying to race between beginners (not a good idea) we all had a blast. To top it off, we were rewarded with snow in the city as well. I can’t wait to go snowboarding again Wednesday. I love it.
Earthquakes!

Hi everyone! How was your week? On Thursday night, there was a small earthquake. Did you feel it? I was sitting on my couch watching TV at the time and noticed my pot-plant swaying from side to side. Earthquakes are a kind of scary for me but also exciting. We hardly ever experience earthquakes in Australia. Instead we have bush-fires that can be very dangerous for people and animals. Have you experienced a serious earthquake? What did you do?

Hello everyone, it is definetely getting colder these days and I am sure snow is just around the corner. I can`t wait to get my snowboard out and head to the mountains again! Also I am looking forward to the cosy feeling of being in a nice warm apartment while it is snowing outside-maybe eating nabe or sukiyaki or some other delicious winter food. I hope you are all looking forward to winter too-the only bad thing is the icy streets. Remember to take care and try to stay on two feet!

Wow, just as it started to get cold, spring is back. It’s super warm today and I thinkI should have worn shorts to work. I’m sure mother nature won’t allow that much more warm weather in Hokkaido, so I hope everyone gets out and enjoys it while you can as Old Man Winter is ??nocking on the door.
