Baseball and Coloured Leaves

Hi everyone! Have you noticed the beautiful changing of the leaves yet? Last weekend, I went to Mariyama Park. The trees looked amazing with their mix of green, red, orange and pink leaves. The ground was like a colourful carpet. I’ve also been getting into the baseball. Go Nippon Ham Fighters!! Baseball isn’t very popular in Australia so I’ve had to learn rules of the game. Let’s hope the Fighters can win two more games and become the champions of Japan.

…and it’s almost winter. I’m happy that the weather has changed because soon it will be time to dust off the snowboard and hit the mountains! This year I want to go to Rusutsu and Furano resorts. I have never been snowboarding there before. I also want to see the changing of the leaves before the really cold weather comes. I’ve heard the trees in Hokkaido are beautiful.

I can’t believe that it’s already fall. Summer went by in a flash or am I just getting old? The leaves are starting to change color and it’s getting colder at night. It feels like winter is just around the corner again. Yeah!!

My summer holiday

Hi everyone, it has been a long time! I just returned from my holiday to Europe. I had a great time visiting my family and friends in England and enjoyed a trip to France where I ate lots of cheese and drank lots of wine and visited Paris. It was lovely. I am very happy to be back in Sapporo now though-I missed hot springs, park golf, ramen and karaoke! I am looking forward to Autumn and all the beautiful colours in Hokkaido. I hope you all had a great summer too and I will see you soon.

Summer Vacation

Whoa! It’s been really hot and humid in Sapporo this summer. I think my electricity bill will be really expensive this month as I’ve been using my fan almost everyday! Somewhere that isn’t so hot right now is my hometown – Melbourne, Australia. It’s winter right now. I recently returned to Melbourne to visit my friends and family and to plan my wedding for next year. Usually it takes about 6-8 months to organise a wedding but I had do it in 2 weeks! Busy, busy, busy! It was great to be home again after being in Japan for almost 2 years. I love living in Sapporo but I do miss a good steak and fish and chips and, of course, Australia’s beautiful beaches. What did you do for your summer vacation?
