Resolutions
2010年1月4日 (月)
Happy New Year. I hope you had a great holiday and enjoyed your time off work.
The time of year has come around again and it’s now time to make your New Year’s resolution.
What is it going to be this year? Are you going to give up smoking? Go on a diet? Study more? These are all the usual ones but some people have very different ideas.
Although, I know its best to have only one resolution if you wish to succeed, I have decided to choose two this year. My first is to eat healthier and my second is to join football team in Sapporo. If i can managed the second one, then the first will surely follow.
Good luck with yours.
Christmas panic!
2009年12月15日 (火)
Its almost Christmas and I`m panicking about sending home my Christmas presents!!!! Not that I like to speak ill of England but the British post system is TERRIBLE! (*cough* not to mention that I have left it to the last minute to send them home). Why do I always leave it until the week before to send things home? I always hope I`ll find better presents and there are so many to get. This year it`s good to hear that lots of people are going back to their home towns to celebrate the end of year. I will be staying in Sapporo this year, so I`ll celebrate with friends. I hope everyone really enjoys their time off and has time to relax and do something they love.
Christmas songs
2009年12月11日 (金)
Hey everyone! So this week I have had “Frosty the snowman” stuck in head. It is my favorite christmas song because it reminds me of England. Pretty much im humming it all day and driving everyone around me crazy. Do you have a favorite christmas song? In Japan almost all the shops are playing christmas songs so you cant escape them!!!!! Anyway, this weekend im going to make a gingerbread house and put a frosty snowman near the door. Yummy yummy
Christmas Is In the Air
2009年12月11日 (金)
Hello everyone. Christmas is on the air, and for the first time in several years I’m feeling the Christmas spirit. For one thing, I have several year-end parties (忘年会) to go to, which gives me a celebratory, festive feeling. Also, I’m enjoying the Christmas lights in Odori park and throughout the downtown area. It makes the dark of winter much more cheerful:)
This year I am going to roast a turkey with my family. I was able to reserve one at Mitsukoshi Department Store. We’ll have all the trimmings as well: stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce-even pumpkin pie! It will be a lot of work, but it’s worth it. I haven’t had a Christmas dinner in four years, since I came to Japan, so I’m really looking forward to it!
I hope you can get into the Christmas spirit as well!

water
2009年12月10日 (木)
My friend Danny gave me a Kerosene (toyu) heater to use this winter. It is so much warmer than my old heater, and my toes are nice and toasty now. The only problem is, it is very humid. We had to get a humidifier to stop the prolem. Eveyday, there is almost 500ml of water! I wonder if it is safe to drink. It probably tastes gross, though. Do you have the same problem in your house? How did you solve it?
