Windy Days

Holy Cow! I can’t believe how windy it has been. I heard that some rooves were blown off of houses! It reminds me of my first day back in Canada when 60 percent of the trees in Vancouver’s famous Stanley Park were knocked down from wind and many trees were blown into people’s houses. It’s ashame we can’t fly any kites in this weather, it would be so much fun. What do you like to do on super windy days?

Happy New Year everyone? Did you have a good time? I went to see the sunrise on Mt. Moiwa and then to the Hokkaido shrine. The sunrise was beautiful and orange. I think it’s going to be a great year. How did you spend your New Year’s eve?

Hi everyone, It’s Christmas Eve and many people are busy with last minute shopping and preparations. For others, Christmas is just a normal day on the Japanese calendar. I will be serving turkey and chicken along with roast vegetables to my ten guests on Christmas day. I haven’t had turkey for more than a year now so I’m rather excited. Let’s hope it’s not too difficult to cook!!! I’ve heard it can take three hours in the oven. Better get cracking…Merry Christmas everyone!
White Christmas

Hello everyone. Christmas is not far away now. I am looking forward to a white Sapporo Christmas for the first time in 3years. Last year I was in Vietnam for Christmas, and I went back to England the year before, so it will be nice to spend the festive season in Sapporo. I hope you have all been good boys and girls and thast Santa brings you all the presents you want! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!
Snowboarding here I come...

I`m pretty excited at the moment, because I bought a new pair of snowboarding boots and a board too this week. I`m not very good at snowboarding, so I`ve decided to practice a lot this winter and improve! If you see me walking with some difficulty next week, you`ll know the reason why- I`ll probably have lots of bruises from falling over! Wish me luck…
